Last month, University of Maryland College Park (UMD iSchool) Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) faculty and graduate students participated in the annual HCIL retreat and social event. This year’s retreat was hosted at the Phillips Collection, a modern art gallery in downtown Washington, D.C. Attendees spent the day touring the gallery and participated in team building activities, including a scavenger hunt and meme making contest. Jonathan Lazar, professor at the College of Information Studies, gave attendees a performance on guitar.
