Dr. Amanda Lazar Receives Tier 1 Funding

headshot of Dr. Amanda Lazar The iSchool is thrilled to announce that Dr. Amanda Lazar, iSchool Professor, has been awarded Tier 1 funding for her proposal titled, “Expanding our knowledge of the history of women’s health through documentation and preservation”.

The Tier 1 Summer 2018 competition was fierce, with 33 applicants submitting work and only 7 receiving funding — a success rate of approximately 21%. Dr. Lazar received this honor through her continued pursuit of innovative research. The funding logistics include $21,812 for the execution of her proposal.

The University of Maryland Division of Research offers Tier 1 funding in support of scholarship and/or new research directions.
