Can you communicate the significance of your research project in just THREE MINUTES!

The University of Maryland Graduate School invites graduate students from all disciplines to compete in the annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®).

The Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition provides a unique opportunity for graduate students to demonstrate their ability to effectively explain their research to a general audience in an engaging and interesting manner. The competition takes place in two rounds. The first-round, college-level 3MT competition occurs in early March. The Campus-level competition occurs in mid-April.

3MT Registration is now open! Register early to take advantage of 3MT workshops and other resources that will help you create a great three-minute thesis talk. The next 3MT workshop will take place on January 29th via Zoom. (Link no longer available)
