Researchers at the University of Maryland are tackling the grand challenges of our time, from climate change to systemic racism to global health. Homecoming’s Beyond the Field lecture goes off the gridiron and into the classroom to showcase our faculty’s impactful work.

In the 2023 Homecoming Address, computer scientist Jen Golbeck, a professor in the College of Information Studies who researches artificial intelligence, social media, and malicious online behavior, will challenge you to pay greater heed to how AI increasingly influences our lives.
