Disability Community Restorative Circle

The Circle is a monthly restorative space to center those impacted by identity-based trauma. All UMD members are welcome into The Circle, acknowledging that we are holding space for one another as we share with vulnerability and humility. Restorative circles derive from Indigenous ancestral wisdom as a means for individual and community healing.
For this month’s Circle, we invite members of the disability community and those in support of greater accessibility at UMD to come together with care. We will invite participants to respond to a few restorative questions, inviting the next person in the Circle. Please register here: go.umd.edu/23ga
This space is not a ‘drop in’ space, but rather a place for connecting our communities with intention. Thus, we ask participants to stay for the full hour if possible.
To promote an accessible space, we encourage participants to refrain from wearing strong scents (perfumes, colognes, body lotions) that could cause health concerns for some of our community members. https://brownstargirl.org/
