The Initiative for Values-Centered Artificial Intelligence is hosting a workshop on “Riding the LPM Wave: The Future of Academic Research in the Era of Large Pre-trained Models” on Nov 3rd (Friday) at UMD. The workshop aims to bring together researchers, across disciplines, to discuss the future of NLP/Vision/HCI/Robotics research in academia in the era of large pre-trained models (LPMs).

The workshop will feature a keynote talk and panel, followed by several breakout sessions to brainstorm research projects in the space of LPMs. The full schedule is available on the workshop website. The workshop will be held in Gannon Auditorium (IRB 0318) in the Iribe building from 1 PM–5 PM, followed by a social at The Hall CP.
