BIO

Latoya Wilson is the Payroll Coordinator in the College of Information Studies, where she manages payroll processing, timesheet coordination, and provides administrative support for faculty, staff, and student employees. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Family Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Latoya has been part of the University of Maryland community since 2013, beginning as a high school senior. Since then, she has worked across multiple departments, gaining diverse experience and developing a passion for HR and payroll services.

Fun fact: Latoya comes from a proud generation of Terps—many of her siblings, along with her parents and uncles, have also worked and studied at the university. For her, UMD isn’t just a workplace; it’s home.

Her favorite quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” guides her commitment to serving others with purpose, positivity, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
