Stephen Greenberg

Stephen Greenberg recently retired after nearly thirty years as a rare book librarian at the National Library of Medicine. He holds a PhD in History from Fordham University, and a library degree from Columbia University, specializing in rare books and archival management. He has taught the history of the book and related courses at the University of Maryland, the Catholic University of America, and Rare Book School at the University of Virginia. Dr. Greenberg has received numerous professional awards for service, teaching, and publication, including the NIH Award of Merit, the Lisabeth M. Holloway Lifetime Service Award, given by Librarians, Archivists, and Museum Professionals in the History of the Health Sciences (LAMPHHS), the national professional organization in that field, and is a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals.
