BIO

Nuwan Hewabethmage is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Master of Information Management and dual bachelor’s degrees in Information Science and Environmental & Resource Economics. Nuwan enjoys using Python, R, and SQL to solve real world problems and improve decision making. He builds clean data pipelines, predictive models, and clear Power BI dashboards, and has developed automations to streamline workflows. His focus areas include predictive analytics, data modeling, data architecture, and data governance/privacy (FERPA/PII). Nuwan’s especially interested in turning complex data into simple insights for non-technical teams. Furthermore, he enjoys work at the intersection of data and policy especially higher education, government operations, and environmental programs.
