BIO

Masha Krupenkin‘s work combines social media and web search data, computational social science methodologies, and survey data to better understand prejudice, partisanship, and other political beliefs and behaviors. Prior to coming to UMD, Masha was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Boston College. She has also been a Visiting Scholar at Microsoft Research New England and a Fellow at Princeton’s Center for the Study of Democratic Politics. In addition to her scholarly publications, Masha’s work has been featured in the New York Times, the Atlantic, Vox, Politico, and other major news outlets.
