Dr. Heera Lee is a lecturer in the College of Information at the University of Maryland, where she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in user-centered design, UX research methods, and capstone projects in collaboration with external partners and communities. Dr. Lee’s research focuses on public speaking and foreign language anxiety among English language learners and instructors. She leverages biosensor data—such as electrodermal activity (EDA)—to investigate physiological indicators of anxiety and to design an educational system for personalized emotional and instructional support in diverse educational settings. Her broader interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), educational technologies, and affective computing, with an emphasis on supporting culturally diverse learners and educators.
