BIO

Assistant Professor Ana Ndumu focuses on the cross between social identity and information behavior, particularly the ways in which accessible and adequate information strengthens marginalized communities. Dr. Ndumu explores the intersection of libraries, demography, and social inclusion. Her recent works examine the information worlds of African, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-Latinx immigrants living in the U.S. She also researches the contributions of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to library and information science (LIS) education.
