Phil Ballo is a library professional with significant involvement with maker technology. He currently holds two master’s degrees, history and library and information sciences. Prior to his current career as an instructor, he worked as a freelancer doing basic web development, graphic design, computer tech, video editor, developer (python scripts), and whatever ended up on his plate since 2006 using open source software. In addition to his freelance and standard work, Phil has presented at the ALA conference multiple times, has several articles and book chapters on technology. Phil currently resides in San Diego and is currently building games with the Godot game engine.
